No Fire Zone (formerly Sri Lanka's Killing Fields)

The Sri Lankan government’s brutal final offensive against the secessionist Tamil Tigers was supposed to be conducted in secret. But the war crimes and crimes against humanity, the massacres and the executions of prisoners, were filmed – by both victims and perpetrators. This film – at once an evidential film of record and a call for international action – tells that story.

A film about war crimes and crimes against humanity at the end of the Sri Lankan civil war in 2009. Both a film of record and a call to action, it builds on two Nobel Peace Prize nominated television documentaries which first revealed shocking video evidence of the massacre of civilians, sexual assaults and the execution of bound, naked prisoners.
